Suzanne M. Smith is a graduate of the University at Albany and Seton Hall University School of Law. With 25 years of legal experience, she has built a reputation as a skilled and results-driven litigator, representing clients in criminal defense, personal injury, and Workers’ Compensation matters.

A significant portion of Suzanne’s practice is devoted to Workers’ Compensation and personal injury cases, where her strategic approach and strong negotiation skills consistently serve her clients’ best interests. She is known for her thorough preparation, practical advocacy, and ability to secure favorable resolutions both in and out of the courtroom.

In addition to her civil practice, Suzanne’s extensive experience handling criminal and municipal court matters provides a distinct advantage to the firm’s clients. Her broad litigation background allows her to assess cases from multiple perspectives and craft effective legal strategies tailored to each client’s unique circumstances.

As a partner at Cillick & Smith, Suzanne remains actively engaged in professional organizations to further her development and stay informed on evolving legal issues and legislation throughout New Jersey. She is deeply involved with the Bergen County Bar Association and has held numerous leadership roles, including Trustee of the Bergen County Bar Foundation, Past Trustee of the Young Lawyers Division, and Past President of the Young Lawyers Division. Suzanne is also a member of the New Jersey Association for Justice, the New Jersey State Bar Association, and Women Lawyers in Bergen County.

Beyond her legal practice, Suzanne is actively involved in her community. When she is not in the courthouse, she can often be found on local sports fields, where she has served on her hometown’s recreational soccer board and junior wrestling board.
